13 Muslims drown in boat accident
A boat carrying a group of Muslims back from a local mosque hit a pole and sank in the Chao Phraya River in Ayutthaya’s Mueang district Sunday afternoon.
At 6.45pm, death toll rises to 13 and 19 injured in a boat accident in Ayuthaya province.Most victims are the elderly.
The passengers were reportedly on their way back to Kwan Market in Nonthaburi province when their boat capsized.
At 7.20pm, rescue workers still searched for possible survivors.
By 8:30pm, the authorities announced that ten people were still unaccounted for.
