Prawit says it's fine for Prayut's nephew to bid for Army's projects

Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan Wednesday said there was nothing wrong for Defence Ministry permanent secretary General Preecha Chan-o-cha's son to obtain business concession for Army construction projects worth Bt26.9

“Anyone can place the bid. There is no rule to ban Preecha’s son [Pathompol, also nephew of Prime Minister Prayut, for offering the bid] as long as he proposed the lowest price and the right spec to meet the 3rd Army Area's demand,” he said.
Prawit said it was normal for public to have doubt over the concession because of their surname Chan-o-cha.
He added he was not worried if the allegation would affect Army’s image.
