Death toll from Egyptian migrant boat sinking surges to 162

Cairo - The death toll in the sinking of a migrant boat that capsized two days ago off the coast of Egypt has risen to 162, a provincial governor says.
Eighteen more bodies have been retrieved, bringing the number of victims to 162 from the previous tally of 148, governor of the Delta Beheira province, Mohamed Sultan, adds.
A total of 164 people have been rescued since the boat sank on off Beheira's town of Rosetta, Sultan says, according to privately owned newspaper al-Masri al-Youm.
