Thai Samsung fans to get Bt10,000 discount for buying S7, Note 5

Thai Samsung Wednesday offered Bt10,000 discount plus Bt2,990 headphone to fans who have pre-booked Galaxy Note 7 if they opt for other top models of its smartphones.
Thai Samsung Electronics officially announced the cancellation of the pre-booking of its new flagship Note 7 in a press statement issued Wednesday, a day after Samsung announced the halt of sale and production of the Note 7 following reports of battery explosions.
Thai Samsung said the customers who have pre-ordered Note 7 will get Bt10,000 discount for buying Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge or Galaxy Note 5 instead. And the customers will be given Samsung Level Active headphone worth Bt2,990 as a gift.
But the customers who simply cancel the pre-booking without opting to buy one of the three models, will receive Bt2,000 cash voucher as a gift.
In the statement, Thai Samsung explained that in Thailand, Galaxy Note 7 has never been up for sale and Thai Samsung Electronics took only pre-booking orders from customers.
“We would like to inform pre-booking customers that they can have their deposit fully refunded,” adding they can opt for a Bt2,000 cash voucher or the discount.
