Activities and events postponed

With the Kingdom mourning the departure of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej, an official period of mourning of one year from October 14 has been declared. The government has also announced the curtailment of entertainment-related activities for 30

Below is a list of entertainment and related events affected. Further updates will follow in due course. 
 
>> Musical “The Butterfly Lovers”, which was scheduled to end October 16, will not stage further performances. 
>> Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance and Music has also brought the curtain down before its scheduled close on Wednesday. The four last shows –Turkey’s Presidential Symphony Orchestra, Spain's VOCES, Suite Flamenca by Sara Baras Dance Company and two modern dances by America's Paul Taylor have all been cancelled.
ETC’s “Journey Concert” on October 15 at Bitec Bang-Na Hall 106 has been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course. 
The 10th edition of the two-day fashion, art & music festival, “Melody of Life” slated for October 15-16 at all areas of CentralWorld, has been put off until a later date.
The Color Run, slated for October 15 and 16 around Airport Rail Link Makkasan Station, is cancelled. 
Bec-Tero Entertainment has announced the postponement of at least four events.

>> The King’s Cup FB Battery River Kwai Half Marathon Thailand Championship 2016 planned for October 16
>> Thailand Music League 2016 slated for October 22 
>> Grand Ex' Grand Concert in Hua Hin planned for November.26.
>> The 14th edition of the annual World Film Festival of Bangkok scheduled for November 4 to 13 has been postponed and will now be held from January 20-28, 2017.
>> TK Park has announced the suspension of all activities for a full week but intends to go ahead with the screening of the second film in the Contemporary World Film Series “White God” from Hungary, on Saturday, October 22,at 4pm. 
>> Musical “Firefly Tale” at the KBank Siam Pic-Ganesha has postponed the remainder of its run until November 5. 
>> The “RTSM Fest: Revolution” featuring rockers Retrospect & Sweet Mullet, at GMM Live House of CentralWorld on October 22 is postponed. 
>> The “Music Never Dies” concert by National Artist Setha Sirachaya, slated for Paragon Hall of Siam Paragon on November 8 is postponed. 
>> The “Fah Pha Art Music Life & Love” festival featuring Paradise Bangkok, The Richman Toy, Jitsing Sombun, Kongpat Sakdapitak, T-Bone, DJ Funky Gangster, DJ Sun Zone and DJ Blues Bar, to take place in Khao Yai on November 5 and 6 is postponed until further notice. 
>> Pic Production has announced the postponement of South Korea’s girl group Gfriend’s “Fan Meeting in Bangkok 2016, scheduled for November 13. 
>> Music Move Entertainment has indefinitely postponed “Rock in Pain”, which was to take place on November 5. 
>> 90’s Young Dance Concert, which is planned on November 12 at Bitec Bang-Na Hall 106, is expected to be postponed. 
>> Rachadalai Theatre has cancelled all October performances of “Lordlai Mangkorn The Musical”, which was to open on October 14. New dates and ticket refunds to be announced.
The Bangkok 10km International Run, scheduled to take place on 16 October 2016, has been postponed until further notice.

>> Siam Paragon International Kids Fashion Week 2016, which was to be held October 15-16)has been postponed.

>> Bangkok International Fashion Week organised by Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, scheduled for October 19, is postponed.

>> Morrissey's concert at Bangkok's Moonstar Studios on October 18 has been cancelled.
