According to Acting Director-General to the Public Relations Department Lt Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd, the broadcasting is aimed to share the heartfelt moment to those unable travel to crowded Sanam Luang on the day.
Since the event is not a royal ceremony, other channels may broadcast the event but it is not mandatory to do so, Sansern added.
