Thais in Germany pay respects to King at candlelight event

More than 1,000 Thai expatriates and their friends gathered in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin Tuesday to hold a candlelight procession as well as sing the Royal Anthem to express their love for His Majesty the King.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin reported that the event was held on Sunday evening, at which the participants vowed to do good deeds and follow His Majesty’s teachings before lighting the candles and singing the Royal Anthem. The embassy's Counsellor Aurapin Leelittham, on behalf of the Thai ambassador to Germany, led some officials and embassy employees to the event.
