A total of 19 check dams were built in Nakhon Ratchasima as per His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s initiative to tackle drought, provincial governor Wichian Chantharanothai said Friday.
Presiding over the “Khon Korat Mai Khadklaen Nam” (“Korat people suffer no water shortage”) project launch in Tambon Sam Muang of Sida district, Wichian joined villagers in filling sandbags for a check dam construction on Huai Yang Creek.
