Missing Thai citizen found in Japan, but mystery persists

A Thai citizen in Japan has been found after he went missing on Monday, sparking an online campaign to find him, but there were still no details available about the cause of his disappearance.

The campaign to search for 33-year-old Sumeth Lerthirunwong, who is working in Tokyo, set up by his friends was widely shared on social networks. He left home at 6pm on Monday without contacting anyone.
Foreign Affairs Minister Don Pramudwinai said Thursday that Japanese police had found Sumeth, but offered no further details.
“I have reports that the police found Sumeth already and his family has met him in Tokyo. There is nothing to worry about,” Don said.
