A 29-year-old woman, seen in a video clip that went viral on Thai social media sitting on the trunk of a moving car, has reported to police.

The woman, whose name was withheld, was charged with travelling on a car in a dangerous manner as per the Land Traffic Act 1979 and was fined Bt500, police said yesterday.
She was filmed sitting on the trunk of her Bangkok taxi driver husband’s car on Sunday. She reported to police on Thursday evening.
Her 57-year-old husband will meet police next week, said Metropolitan Police Area 4 chief Maj-General Nanthachat Supamongkol.
The incident stemmed from the couple quarrelling over family issues, Nanthachat said. The husband dropped his wife off for work in the Town in Town area but they argued because the woman wanted to take the day off.
Nanthachat said the woman told police her belongings were still in the taxi, which her husband had locked and refused to open for her, so she sat on the trunk.
The husband will face the charge of reckless driving in disregard to others’ safety, punishable by up to three months in prison and/or a Bt10,000 fine, he added.
