82-year-old man perishes in fire

A 82-year-old man was killed in a fire that engulfed his shanty house in Nonthaburi’s Bang Kruay district early Monday, police said.
The charred body of Sam-ang Klomthong was found after fire fighters took about half an hour to put out the blaze.
Police said the fire started at 3 am at the house that was on Klong Mahasawat’s bank in Tambon Salaklang. Police believe the fire was caused by a candle the old man lit when he went to sleep.
