DETAINED politician Jatuporn Prompan is suffering from an infection in his urinary tract but the condition is not worrying, Corrections Department director-general Kobkiat Kasiwiwat said Monday.

“His general condition is improving and he can walk normally,” he said.
Jatuporn, a former MP from the Pheu Thai Party and leader of the red-shirt movement, is being treated at prison hospital, Kobkiat said.
He added that it was initially thought that Jatuporn’s disorder was caused by a kidney stone but an X-ray ruled that out.
