Rains to continue in sevral southern provinces

Several southern provinces are expected to remain hit by torrential or scattered rains on Friday, the Thai Meteorological Department announced.
Under the red-coloured code for risk of torrential rains [35.1-90mm/24 hours] were Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Ranong, Surat Thani, Phangnga, and Nakhon Si, Thammarat.
Under the yellow-coloured code for risk of persistent rains [90.1mm/24 hours and above] were Phuket, Krabi, Trang, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Narathiwat and Yala.
People should beware of the severe weather conditions and possible flash flood and should keep following closely the weather forecast update, the department said.
