Temperature in North to further drop by 1 to 3 C degree
The Meteorological Department predicted that the temperature in the North will further drop by one to three Celsius degree Friday.
The department said in its morning forecast for 6 am Friday to 6 am Saturday that although the high pressure over the uppen country has weaken, the westerly winds still caused the cold spell in northern provinces.
It said the minimum temperatures on mountaintops in the North would range from 6 to 10 Celsius degree while mountaintops in the Northeast would see mercury range from 7 to 14 Celsius degree.
