Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha singled out an elderly man in Nakhon Si Thammarat province for helping other people, which makes the community stronger.

The premier praised the man for setting an example for the public during his weekly TV address on Friday evening.

Prayut said Jamras Sae-Ung or “Uncle Dum” was an ordinary rubber farmer, who had planted banana trees along the sides of the Na Don-Kaew Saen Road, for a six-kilometre stretch with the aim to save lives in the event a vehicle skids off the road.
