Dhammakaya spokesman denies faking Dhammachayo’s presence in bedroom

The temple earlier announced Phra Dhammachayo was not well and was being treated inside the bedroom in the building.
During a raid by DSI officials on Thursday, a picture went viral on social media, showing Dhammachayo’s bed covered with a monk robe. Under the robe were pillows that were apparently arranged to look like a person was lying beneath.
Phra Sanitwong Wutthiwangso, the director of the temple’s information division, said the temple did not make the arrangement and a follower of Phra Dhammachayo simply covered the bed with the rope without an intention to deceive anyone.
