Chart Pattana Party supports transitional and reconciliatory justice

The Chart Pattana Party did not clearly discuss its stance on amnesty with the reconciliation preparation committee, but it agreed with the idea of transitional and reconciliatory justice proposed previously by peace advocates, seasoned politician Suwat Liptapanlop said Thursday.

Suwat spoke on veteran journalist Suthichai Yoon’s Facebook Live.
The transitional and reconciliatory justice, Suwat said, involved truth seeking that would help lead to different types of justice delivery and compensation. It concerns conflicts that are politically motivated in nature as well as deep-rooted inequality, he said.
Suwat talked to the Nation Multimedia Group’s digital journalist, Suthichai, on his Facebook Live programme, “Coffeehouse Forum”.
Suwat’s party was among the large and middle-sized political parties that met with the committee to share their views on 10 critical issues facing the country and which solution must be found to pave the way for reconciliation and co-existence.
