If they continue to improve, we may have to revise our estimates. Usually, we consider revision every three months.”
January’s economy expanded on the back of export expansion, tourism, improved private-sector spending and investment in the construction sector.
Thai exports in January rose for the third consecutive month at 8.8 per cent. The FPO forecasts this year’s exports will rise 2.5 per cent to US$17.1 billion. Imports are forecast to expanded 5.2 per cent to $16.3 billion.
The trade surplus is expected to be $800 million.
