Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak said this after meeting with the chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Saeed Saleh Saeed Al Klyumi, on Monday.
Somkid said he invited Omanis to invest more in Thailand when they face a drop in earnings after the price of oil dropped.
They also had the largest sovereign wealth fund, which needed to find investments that generate high returns, he said.
“Investment in the Thailand Future Fund is one choice for them to expand their investment, as the fund has a policy to invest in infrastructure projects in Thailand,” he said.
He said he also invited Omani investors to expand investment in other sectors such as food, petrochemical, and consumer products.
