The suspect arrested after troops and police seized war weapons from a house in Pathum Thani implicated a fugitive red-shirt leader of an extreme group, a police source said.
The source said the suspect, Thirachai Udonchian, said the weapons were moved from the community radio station of Wutthipogn Kachathamkhun, alias Ko Tie.
Thirachai was arrested after police and troops raided the Thai Max Group in Pathum Thani’s Lam Lukka district at 8 am and found many assault rifles, ammunition and grenades hidden in crates.
He was taken to the 11th Army Province for seven-day detention and questioning.
