Pheu Thai sent a letter to the reconciliation preparation committee after talks last Friday and proposed that the committee, along with its sub panels, be dissolved and an independent body formed to handle reconciliation – a move seen as hurting the government's reconciliation efforts.
Seri said all sides should join hands to make the reconciliation process work as success could not be achieved through only non-partisanism but must also involve cooperation.
He said everyone should try to understand the concept of non-partisanism as it applies to Thailand’s situation, saying it means not being part of the conflict, regardless of a group’s political status.
