Yellow flower tribute for late King

The public has been encouraged to adorn homes and buildings with yellow flowers to pay tribute to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej during his royal cremation ceremonies, the head of City Hall said.
Yellow represents the late King’s birthday colour, owing to him being born on a Monday.
Royal cremation ceremonies and related rituals for the late monarch, who reigned in Thailand for seven decades, are set to take place in October and run for five days.
Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Governor Pol General Aswin Kwanmuang said the BMA would decorate with yellow flowers all roads leading to Sanam Laung, scene of the cremation.
