Police detain woman allegedly behind tour scam

Police on Wednesday arrested Pasit Arinchalapit who allegedly cheated thousands of Thai tourists with a promise of Japan trip but left them stranded at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The arrest was made in southern province of Ranong. She would be brought to Bangkok for futher interrogation.
Pasit was suspected of being behind the tour scam in which each tourist was lured to pay about Bt10,000 for a trip to Japan during Songkran festival.
