British man, 31, falls to death from room in Pattaya
A British man yesterday fell three floors to his death from his room above a gogo bar near Pattaya’s Walking Street.
Following a report at 4.30am of a man plunging from a building, local police and rescue workers rushed to the scene in Tambon Nong Prue to find the 31yearold tourist crumpled on the footpath.
A shocked crowd of around 100 Thai and foreign tourists gathered to watch the body being taken away. The man was pronounced dead at Pattaya Memorial Hospital.
Police said they inspected the room that the man was renting on a daily basis but saw no sign of ransacking or a struggle. They would interview more witnesses and check CCTV footage to establish if it was a suicide.
