The ministry’s permanent secretary Grisada Boonrach instructed his deputies, ministry inspector-generals, provincial governors, district chiefs, kamnans, village heads and local administrative body executives to develop water-management plans based on the initiatives of the late HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
According to the guidelines, local authorities should store rainwater during stormy months so that there is adequate water supply dry months. Weather forecasts suggest there will hardly be any rain in June.
