Samsung Thai Nguyen vows to employ more people in VN

Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen (SEVT) says it will continue to expand its production scale, creating jobs for Vietnamese and increasing export turnover.

A company representative said that by the end of 2016, its total investment had reached US$7.5 billion (Bt258 billion) and disbursement was 87 per cent of the total. SEVT contributed 21 per cent to Vietnam’s export turnover.
He said SEVT had not only invested in mobile-phone and tablet production, but had also implemented some research projects on Samsung’s mobile-phone software.
The company has constructed 39 buildings to ensure accommodation for its more than 30,000 workers. It has also organised Korean and English language classes and colleges for its employees.
The company came into operation in March 2014 with initial investment capital of $5 billion.
