Chakthip denies showing favours to murder suspects

National Police Commissioner Pol General Chakthip Chaijinda has denied he showed any favours to the three female murder suspects in the much-publicised dismemberment murder case.
The gruesome crime took place last month in Khon Kaen province, after which these three suspects fled to Myanmar. They decided to surrender to Myanmar authorities earlier this month and were deported to Thailand.
Police spokesman Pol Colonel Krissana Pattanacharoen spoke up on Wednesday after Chakthip’s speeches and gestures at a press conference on Sunday were widely seen as favouring the murder suspects.
“No, he has no need to sacrifice his honour,” Krissana said.
