Motorcyclist, 69, killed in front of temple

A 69-year-old woman driving her motorcycle to a Loei temple was killed on Monday morning when she turned abruptly in front of a six-wheel truck.
Pol Capt Prasert Khobamrung, a deputy inspector at Mueng Loei police station, said the accident occurred at 7am outside Wat Pa Amphawan in Ban Rai Muang district’s Tambon Namman.
The truck driver, Boonthan Mongkolwat, 50, told police the woman turned in front of him too suddenly for him to avoid a collision.
