Dtac founder denies mansion encroached on Phang Nga national forest
Dtac founder Boonchai Bencharongkul met with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) yesterday morning to deny he had encroached on a Phang Nga national forest during the construction of a hill-top mansion.
The DSI summoned Boonchai after officials from the national park demanded his Ban Dao Lom mansion be demolished.
They also alleged Boonchai’s land documents had been unlawfully obtained.
DSI officials said they would question Boonchai on how he had obtained the land to determine if he had encroached on the forest.
The agency said it would also find out who he had bought the land from as it used to be owned by a controversial businessman in Phuket.
