More fraud complaints against Jariyaporn

About 10 residents of Loei province have lodged police complaints against fraud suspect Jariyaporn Buayai – who was arrested earlier this month for allegedly duping 13 men into marrying her and then fleeing with their dowries – for allegedly cheating them of payments for fruits worth over Bt1 million.

The 10 plaintiffs were dragon fruit growers in Loei’s Phu Rua district to whom Jariyaporn allegedly owed Bt400,000 in payments last year for the produce, which she claimed she would sell to a Talad Thai Market vendor, Ban Kokpho Saen Eium village headman Amnuay Rongjik said on Friday.
He said Jariyaporn also had her Hmong husband at the time. He said his relatives from Khamphaeng Phetch had invested Bt700,000 in the dragon fruit-selling business there. He said she suddenly disappeared and they heard of her again only after news reports of her allegedly dubious marriage scheme.
