LINE said its research showed that Thai users downloaded 500 million sticker sets last year, but many people were unable to purchase them because 29 per cent do not have a credit card and 34 per cent do not know how to buy online.
The relationship with Boonterm, the leading kiosk payment system in Thailand, will enable users to buy LINE stickers in cash. This was a world-first initiative, according to Ariya Banomyong, managing director of LINE Thailand.
