Police said Warathep Songphayome, 26, was shot four times by a pillion rider about 300 metres from his house in Moo 4 village in Tambon Khuan Khanoon when he was walking home with his nephew at 9am. He was taking his fighting ox out for exercise at the time.
The bullets hit his head, left shoulder, left ear and torso.
Police said Warathep bought pigs from local farmers to resell to slaughter houses and he also worked as a middle man for land filling. They said the killing might have been motivated by business conflicts.
