Don Quijote plans new “DON DON DONKI” store in Thailand

Don Quijote plans new “DON DON DONKI” store in Thailand

Pan Pacific International Holdings, the Don Quijote Group’s holding company for overseas operations based in Singapore, Thailand’s leading paint manufacturer TOA Venture Holding Co, and the Thai subsidiary of Nippon Parking Development Co, announced the establishment of the joint venture TOA-PPIH Co to develop the commercial facility DONKI Mall Thonglor in the Thonglor/Ekkamai area of Bangkok.

DONKI Mall Thonglor is a provisional name for the venture.
The new facility will be built by redeveloping the former site of a TOA Group office building in Bangkok. Located adjacent to a residential district for expatriates from Japan, the area is an active urban centre.
The commercial facility will accommodate as its core tenant a store of the Don Quijote Group’s new type of retail business “DON DON DONKI”, the second such outlet to be established in Southeast Asia after an opening in Singapore last December.
The three corporate groups will focus on products and services representing Japanese quality through the development and operation of commercial facilities, and on the development of large-scale parking lots attached to commercial facilities.
The opening date and details of the facility as well as stores and tenants are still pending.
