Man drowns after jumping from Sathorn Bridge

A man drowned after he jumped from Sathorn Bridge into the Chao Phraya River early Thursday.
Police were informed of the incident at 4am and rescuers took about half an hour to locate the body of Apiwat Juengthawornsup, 33, a resident of Bangkok's Nong Khaem district.
The man was carrying a wallet with his identification card, which identified him as disabled.
Witnesses told police they had seen a man jumping from the bridge and disappearing into the water.
