The death toll from a bus accident in Peru now stands at 36, a police official said Tuesday, after the vehicle plunged off a cliff following a collision with a truck.
Colonel Dino Escudero, head of the police highway patrol division, said 30 bodies had been removed from the wreckage while six remained inside it.
There were 53 passengers aboard, and an earlier police toll said at least 25 had been killed.
