Two more men have been arrested in Tak as provincial officials crack down on illegal burning as a measure against pollution.

The two were apprehended separately in Pho Phra and Mae Sot districts on Monday night for violating a 60-day ban on outdoor fires continuing through April 10.
In Pho Phra, police arrested a farmer in his 30s for burning sugarcane stalks on his land in Tambon Ruam Thai Pattana.
In Mae Sot, a migrant worker from Myanmar, age 56, was arrested while burning dry grass in Tambon Mae Tao.
In Phitsanulok, meanwhile, a fire on a 20-rai sugarcane plantation threatened homes and a school in Ban Kok Mai Daeng, Wang Thong district, on Monday evening.
Fire-fighter Kittisak Phrompanich, 30, was slightly injured as he and his colleagues spent two hours extinguishing the blaze.
