Man, 60, drowns while fishing in Phayao reservoir
A 60-year-old man drowned while fishing in a reservoir in Phayao's Phu Kam Yao district on Monday night.
Phu Kam Yao police were alerted at 9.30pm and began a search for Srikham Khampanyo. He apparently fell into the Rong Diew reservoir, behind the Phu Kam Yao district office.
Scuba divers from the Luacha Phayao Foundation found the man's body about two hours later.
Srikham's relatives said they went to look for him when he did not return home after he went out fishing. They found his boat about 150 metres from the reservoir's bank.
