Workshop educates officials, MSMEs on ecommerce

An ecommerce workshop was held for government officials and international micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at JD Central’s headquarters in Gaysorn Tower.

The event was organised by JD Central, an ecommerce joint venture of Central Group and JD.com, the largest online retailer in China, together with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, the Office of SMEs Promotion, and Kenan Institute Asia.
JD Central’s chief merchandising officer Chodok Bhicharnchitr and head of strategy and partnership development Robin Martens shared their insights and expertise with workshop participants on the ecommerce industry, focusing especially on trends, technology, logistics, supply chain management and marketing, as well as related knowledge on the retail business in Thailand.
This workshop was a part of “Riding the Wave of the E-Commerce Trend: Emerging and Expanding Business Options for MSMEs”, a project designed to support MSME owners through knowledge-sharing workshops between the government sector, MSMEs and ecommerce experts, with the aim of enabling participants to better understand key aspects of logistics, payment systems, ecommerce platforms and e-marketing strategies.
