Body of villager killed in Tak landslide retrieved
The dead body of a 31-year-old village woman was retrieved on Wednesday (August 7) from under her landslide-hit house in Tak province, a senior official said.
The landslide, which hit five homes in Ban Koh Tiko (Moo 6) in tambon Mae Wa Luang in Tha Song Yang district on Tuesday, led to a 10-year-old boy suffering a serious chest injury while two women, Jehmeu Nanthawatmongkol, 31, and Nokohkae Nanthawatmongkol, 58, were reported missing, district chief Prateep Phothiam said.
So far, officials have found and retrieved the body of Jehmeu. They are still looking for Nokohkae, he said.
