SakunC Innovation, a member of the CNC Group, has introduced a new aluminum bus model called the SakunC bus, which uses the latest technology for body manufacture and molding for a seamless design and passenger safety.

“Currently, our assembly plant is ready to manufacture 2,800 buses per year,” said Weerapon Chaiteerath, SakunC Innovation’s executive director. “These will be available in the third quarter of 2020.”
The SakunC bus is assembled under the 3S concept of Standard, Safety, and Saving. “The material of its body is upgraded aluminum which is stronger than iron commonly used to manufacture the body of an automobile,” Weerapon explained. “To prevent any accidental splitting of parts, we use spot welding and high-pressure glue in the assembly process”.
SakunC Innovation is working with the Department of Land Transport, the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), the National Science and Technology Development Agency, and the Thailand Automotive Institute, to perform the bus pre-rollover test, full rollover test, body impact test, and field test to guarantee its adherence to the highest safety standards.
“Our bus is 15 to 40 per cent lighter than other buses on the market, which helps reduce fuel consumption and lowers maintenance costs,” Weerapon added.
SakunC bus uses Hino engine N04C-VB Common Rail Direct Injection with turbo intercoolersystem (EURO3). The outstanding features of this product consist of suspension system, hydraulic brake system, and anti-lock braking system (ABS). After-sales services will be provided by Hino Centres nationwide.
“The warranty of the new model is five years and it is priced is Bt2.3 million,” Weerapon said. “Interested parties can ask for further information from our booth at the current Bus & Truck Expo being held at Bitec Bangna through November 9.”
