Solar eclipse only partly visible in Thailand

The solar eclipse (December 26) was being fully visible in India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Indonesia.

In Thailand, sky gazers witnessed a partial eclipse when the moon covered only part of the sun, between 10am to 2pm. This phenomenon can be seen nationwide with different levels of obscuration in each province.

The maximum obscuration was witnessed in Yala’s Betong district where 81 per cent of the sun was obscured by the moon. Solar eclipse only partly visible in Thailand Those in Chiang Mai’s Mae Sai were less fortunate with only 40 per cent obscuration, while Bangkok saw 56 per cent obscuration.
