Train passengers heed order to wear masks
Train riders were heeding the new rule for passengers on Wednesday (March 25), the first day the Department of Rail Transport made it mandatory to wear a facemask at stations and onboard trains.
Officials are required to order anyone not wearing a mask to do so on trains operated by State Railways of Thailand, Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, BTS and Bangkok Expressway and Metro, as well as on the Airport Rail Link.
Masks are on sale at a reasonable price at the stations.
Operators have also been told to increase the number of screening points in the stations.
