According to BangkokBizNews, Pakpoom, who was also an adviser to Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group, had travelled to attend meetings in England regarding CP's deal to acquire Tesco Lotus' operations in Malaysia and Thailand four weeks ago. It was reported that other participants in the meeting were infected with Covid-19.
CP’s deal for Tesco Lotus in Malaysia and Thailand is worth US$10.57 billion (Bt338.455 billion). It was bought via CP Retail Holding Co in which Charoen Pokphand Holding Co Ltd holds a 40 per cent stake, CP ALL Pcl has 40 per cent and CPF 20 per cent.
