Schools to reopen for first semester on July 1

The cabinet on Tuesday (April 7) decided that schools can reopen from July 1 instead of May 16 as per the academic year.

Government spokeswoman Narumon Pinyosinwat said the cabinet acknowledged that the first semester of the 2020 academic year will have to be adjusted and schools can start the semester on July 1 instead of May 16 as proposed by the Education Ministry.
