Cloudy sky and thundershowers in most of Thailand with isolated heavy rains in some areas
The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Wednesday (May 27) that the monsoon through lies across Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam to the low-pressure cell over Tonkin Bay while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and Thailand.
Heavy rains are forecast for the Northeast, the East and the Southwest. People should beware of the severe conditions.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:
Northern region: Hot with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 25-28 degrees and highs of 37-40 degrees Celsius.
Northeastern region: Cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees and highs of 33-37 degrees Celsius.
Central region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-27 degrees, highs of 35-38 degrees Celsius.
Eastern region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-27 degrees, highs of 32-35 degrees Celsius; waves a meter high and 1-2 meters during thundershowers.
Southern region (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-27 degrees, highs of 34-36 degrees Celsius; waves a meter high and 1-2 meters during thundershowers.
Southern region (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees, highs of 32-35 degree Celsius; waves 1-2 meters high and over 2 meters during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-28 degrees, highs of 33-35 degrees Celsius.
