Online campaign to help old disabled woman struggling on her own

The story of the woman who lives in an abandoned house near the Map Ta Phut branch of Government Savings Bank went viral after it was shared by the “Rayong We Share” group.
Her case first came to light when a neighbour posted a comment saying the old woman had been left to struggle on her own despite being disabled, which had netizens questioning why she was not being provided with help and care by local government agencies and relatives.
Government officials responded by saying they had visited the woman several times, but she refused their help, so all they could do was occasionally give her food and water.
