“Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul had proposed waiving permit fees for entrepreneurs in waste management and other controlled businesses that are related to public health for a year to alleviate their financial burden in this Covid-19 situation,” she said.
The ministry estimates that the waiver will result in lost revenue of around Bt16.83 billion for provincial administration organisations and about Bt158.5 million for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
“However, the exemption of fees will help entrepreneurs to continue their operations smoothly,” Traisulee added.
