Isolated heavy rains forecast fot the East and South

The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea and Thailand will bring isolated heavy rains to the windward side of the East and the South, the Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Saturday (August 29).

Meanwhile, the category 3 tropical storm “Maysak” over the western North Pacific, east of the Philippines, has intensified into a category 4 severe tropical storm. It is expected to move to the Korean peninsula and Japan. This storm does not affect Thailand.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:
North: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 24-26 degrees, maximum 34-36°C.
Northeast: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-26°C, maximum 32-36°C.
Central: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; minimum 24-26°C, maximum 34-37°C.
East: Cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rain; minimum temoerature 24-28°C, maximum 32-35°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (east coast): Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 24-26°C, maximum 34-35°C; waves less than a metre high and one metre during thundershowers.
South (west coast): Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rain; minimum temperature 23-26°C, maximum 32-35°C; waves a metre high and two metres during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 25-26°C, maximum 34-36°C.
