Elderly, disabled to receive social welfare payment by tomorrow
The Comptroller-General’s Department will pay monthly social welfare to the elderly and disabled by tomorrow (September 17) from the previously announced September 22, the Pattanalocal Group of Thailand said on its Facebook page yesterday (September 15).
The department had postponed the payment of monthly social welfare on September 10 due to difficulties in budget allocation with the Department of Local Administration.
The postponement has had an impact on the elderly and disabled, especially those living upcountry, so Department of Local Administration director-general Prayoon Rattanasene said on September 11 that it had earmarked a budget, confirming that the payment would be made by September 22.
