Government mulls more holidays next year to help tourism
The Cabinet is considering declaring additional holidays next year in a bid to revive the tourism sector, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said on Saturday.
The Cabinet has assigned him to discuss the issue with involved state and private tourism agencies. The meeting will also discuss the holidays for each of the regions.
The government has been constantly introducing measures to revive the tourism sector, which has been brought down to its knees by the Covid-19 pandemic.
